Ministry of Culture Pulses Nationalistic Fervour through “Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” (One Nation, One Heartbeat)

In a heartfelt tribute to the undying spirit of patriotism and to honour the bravehearts of the nation, the Ministry of Culture has launched a powerful and binding initiative “Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” (One Nation, One Heartbeat).

Designed to unify the nation in a shared rhythm of national pride, the campaign has already begun to resonate strongly with citizens across India. The slogan #EkDeshEkDhadkan (#OneNationOneHeartbeat) is being widely adopted across digital platforms, amplifying the spirit of unity, patriotic fervour and reverence for the Tiranga.
This embodies the collective sentiment of a grateful nation we salute the valor and sacrifice of our unsung heroes and bravehearts.

Coordinated National Participation

Over the past 48 hours, all 43 institutions under its aegis of Ministry of Culture have shown cohesive and enthusiastic participation.

• The participating is expressed with saluting the armed forces and bravehearts along with the spirit of Tiranga which binds us together, all institutions have changed their display pictures (DPs) to the Tiranga.

ASI Monuments Illuminated in the Colours of the Flag

Prominent cultural institutions and heritage sites have been illuminated in the colours of the Indian flag. Among them:

• Victoria Memorial (West Bengal), Salarjung Museum (Andhra Pradesh), NGMA Delhi, and Regional Science Center, Lucknow.
• The National Archives of India has also joined in, lighting up its iconic building.

Under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), more than 60 + heritage monuments across country have been lit with Tricolor, including:

• Red Fort, Qila Rai Pithora, Safdarjung Tomb, and Purana Qila in Delhi.
• Kumbhalgarh, Chittorgarh, and Fort Ghanta in Rajasthan. Gulab Badi, Uttar Pradesh
• Udaygiri Caves (Odisha), Ashokan Column (Bihar), Rahatgarh Fort, Madhya Pradesh and Fort Ballarpur (Maharashtra), among others.
• Rang Ghar, Assam, Chitradurga Fort, Karnataka, Leh Palace, Leh

In a poignant gesture of unity and remembrance, the Minister of Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, visited Qutub Minar on 14 May 2025, where a special projection mapping of the Tiranga was showcased. The Minister paid tribute lauding the armed forces and saluting the nationalistic spirit ignited by the courage and valor of our unsung heroes & bravehearts.

Institutions and organizations under MoC are initiating programs such as special story telling programs, painting tributes, special exhibitions, musical tributes, quizzes, badges/wristband distribution, Tiranga Rallies with mass participation to collectively celebrate with people this moment of glory for all Indians.
