Counselling Program Conducted at Maharashtra Mandal Marathi School to Combat Juvenile Delinquency and Addiction
A significant counselling program was held at Marathi School in Maharashtra Mandal, organized in collaboration with the Indrani Balan Foundation (Puneet Balan Group), Pune Police, and R K Multipurpose Foundation. The event featured guidance from Dinesh Shinde, PSI of Swargate Police Station, who addressed the rising concerns of juvenile delinquency, addiction, and the adverse effects of excessive social media use on children.
Dinesh Shinde engaged with the students in a simple and approachable manner, aiming to alleviate their fears and encourage open communication. He emphasized the dangers of drug addiction and overuse of mobile phones, illustrating how these habits can lead to life-altering consequences. His interactive session was designed to help children feel more comfortable discussing their concerns.
Additionally, Mr. Anand Salunke and Mrs. Bhagyshree Salunke provided valuable insights into drug abuse, further reinforcing the program’s message.
This initiative, implemented in schools across Pune in partnership with multi-purpose organizations, the Indrani Balan Foundation, and Pune Police, seeks to address the growing issue of children straying onto the wrong path due to excessive mobile phone use. The program aims to improve communication among children, enhance their focus on studies, and support their overall well-being and that of their families.
