Diwali Celebration at Prem Niwas Home for the Aged
Choice College of Arts and Commerce, in collaboration with the Foundation for Education and Community Welfare and local social activists, organized a heartfelt Diwali celebration with the elderly residents of St. Vincent De Paul Society’s Prem Niwas Home for the Aged in Camp, Pune. This event aimed to bring joy to the elderly residents and honor those dedicated individuals who have contributed selflessly to their care and well-being.

On this occasion, Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh, Principal of Choice College of Arts and Commerce; social activist Mayuresh Jadhav; and Azim Shaikh, President of the Foundation for Education and Community Welfare, presented appreciation awards for the outstanding service of individuals at the home. Distinguished members of St. Vincent De Paul Society, including Lynn Godfrey, Teresa Monterio, Secretary Ms. Verenne Vigas, and Chairman Sebastian Furtado, were also present. Mr. Furtado expressed heartfelt gratitude to the team members devoted to the service of the elderly.


The celebration included a variety of cultural activities, creating cherished memories for both residents and organizers. The event underscored the importance of community-driven efforts to bring warmth, care, and happiness to the elderly during the festive season.
