SPPU Felicitates SUO Sakshi Singh for Outstanding Achievement at Republic Day Camp 2026

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) organised a felicitation ceremony to honour SUO Sakshi Singh, who achieved the distinguished position of All India Guard Commander at the Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi. The programme was conducted by the university’s NCC Unit at the Department of Education & Extension recently.

The ceremony celebrated SUO Sakshi Singh’s remarkable accomplishment in leading the guard contingent at the prestigious Prime Minister’s Rally during the Republic Day celebrations. Her exemplary leadership at the national level brought immense pride to the university and the Maharashtra Directorate.

The event was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Sanjay Tambat, Dean, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies; Prof. Geeta Shinde, Head of the Department of Education & Extension; Dr. Vilas Adhav, Director, School of Education; Senate Members Aparna Lalingkar and Krishna Bhandalkar; and ANO Lt. Ashish Sangle. They commended her dedication, discipline, and outstanding leadership qualities.

The felicitation ceremony also aimed to motivate and inspire other NCC cadets of the university to strive for excellence and represent the institution at national platforms.

Savitribai Phule Pune University was sanctioned an NCC unit with a strength of 100 cadets in September 2022. Notably, SUO Sakshi Singh is the first cadet from the university’s NCC unit to represent the Maharashtra Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Rally as part of the Republic Day Camp 2026, marking a historic milestone for the institution.
