Noted Environmentalist Lt. Col. Suresh Patil Founder President and managing trustee of Green Thumb said, “youth should come forward and join the environmental protection and conservation efforts”
Lt. Col. Patil was speaking after receiving the “Environmental Excellence and Recognition Award” for Outstanding leadership, exceptional and significant contribution towards environmental issues and promoting the engagement of youth in bringing environmental sustainability, on the occasion of World Environment Day.
The award is initiated by Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce. Principal Dr. Shaikh Aftab Anwar, Vice Principal Mr. Iqbal Shaikh, Dr. Kalim Shaikh, Head Department of Botany Dr. Shafique Shaikh and Mr. Imran Mirza Baig were present on the occasion.
