Cyber Security Awareness Session Organized under Special Campaign 5.0 by Ministry of Textiles<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

As part of the Government of India\u2019s ongoing\u00a0Special Campaign 5.0\u00a0for institutionalizing Swachhata and promoting excellence in governance, the\u00a0Ministry of Textiles\u00a0organized a\u00a0Cyber Security Awareness Session\u00a0at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. The session aimed to enhance awareness among officials about cyber security best practices and equip them with essential knowledge to counter emerging digital threats.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The session was held in a\u00a0hybrid mode, enabling wide participation from across the Ministry and its affiliated organizations.\u00a0Around 25\u201330 officials attended the session physically, while\u00a0more than 100 participants joined virtually\u00a0from various attached offices, subordinate organizations, autonomous bodies, and public sector undertakings under the Ministry.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Key topics covered during the session included:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Cyber hygiene and safe internet practices<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Email security and phishing threat identification<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Secure password protocols and multi-factor authentication<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Risks from ransom ware and malware<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Standard operating procedures for reporting cyber incidents<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cyber security experts delivered detailed presentations and practical tips tailored for government office environments. The session saw active engagement from participants, with many posing insightful queries which were addressed by the resource persons, helping clarify common misconceptions and enhance practical understanding.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative aligns with the objectives of\u00a0Special Campaign 5.0, emphasizing not only cleanliness and record management, but also capacity-building and digital resilience in governance. The Ministry of Textiles remains committed to promoting a secure digital working environment and continuously sensitizing its workforce on evolving cyber threats.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The session concluded with a call to all officials to remain vigilant, adopt recommended practices, and serve as cyber security ambassadors within their respective departments.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the campaign:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  • 35 MP references,\u00a015 public grievances, and\u00a02 PMO references\u00a0were processed.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 1205 physical files\u00a0were reviewed, out of which\u00a0207 files\u00a0were identified and weeded out.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 61 e-files\u00a0were reviewed, and\u00a018\u00a0were successfully closed.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 75 awareness campaigns\u00a0were conducted across various offices.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 1627 sq. ft.\u00a0of space was freed through scrap disposal, generating a revenue of\u00a0\u20b975,262.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 5 PG appeals\u00a0were also disposed of during the campaign.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Work is ongoing in the implementation phase to meet remaining targets in a timely manner. The Ministry remains committed to achieving the objectives of the campaign and sustaining the reforms initiated under it. Some glimpses are:-<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
