The event served as a dynamic platform for potential buyers and stakeholders from across the globe to explore India\u2019s growing telecom ecosystem.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>While inaugurating Bharat Telecom 2025, the\u00a0Hon\u2019ble Union Minister of State for Communications\u00a0said that\u00a0India is rapidly emerging as a global hub for telecom innovation, design and manufacturing \u2014 moving beyond just assembling devices to becoming a hub for design, development and innovation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>He emphasised India\u2019s growing role as a\u00a0trusted global partner\u00a0in technology and telecom, stating,\u00a0<em>\u201cIndia is moving from merely assembling products to one recognised for design, development and innovation. Our focus is to create opportunities for all service providers and exporters by ensuring access to new markets and strengthening the ecosystem of innovation and manufacturing.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The Minister highlighted the government\u2019s strong commitment to fostering collaboration among international investors, technology providers and Indian enterprises. He noted that initiatives such as the\u00a0National Digital Communications Policy\u00a0and the\u00a0Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme\u00a0are driving large-scale investments in telecom and networking products, thereby boosting local manufacturing and exports.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image003WCAF.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>He further remarked,\u00a0<em>\u201cBharat Telecom provides an opportunity for global and Indian companies to come together, exchange ideas and form partnerships that generate value for all sides. We encourage collaborations in manufacturing, system integration, software development and service delivery that can advance both innovation and market access.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>India\u2019s telecom ecosystem today offers significant opportunities aligned with global trends \u2014 including\u00a0satellite communications, rural connectivity solutions and AI-driven applications\u00a0supporting governance, agriculture and education in developing nations. He reaffirmed India\u2019s commitment to supporting international collaboration and fostering innovation-led growth, saying,\u00a0<em>\u201cIndia stands ready to partner with the world \u2014 to innovate, to export and to create technologies that make a global impact.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Speaking at the event, Shri Ashok Kumar Jain,\u00a0Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications, said,\u00a0<em>\u201cIndia\u2019s telecom sector is witnessing a significant transformation \u2014 evolving from a nation primarily known for device assembly to a hub for design, development and technology exports. This shift reflects the country\u2019s deep commitment to building a robust ecosystem that supports innovation, competitiveness and sustainable growth.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>He reaffirmed that\u00a0India remains committed to fostering global partnerships, expanding its innovation footprint and ensuring that its telecom sector continues to drive inclusive growth, both domestically and internationally.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image004A2DV.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Shri Sanjeev Kumar,\u00a0Vice Chairman, TEPC, highlighted that\u00a0policy initiatives\u00a0such as the\u00a0National Digital Communications Policy\u00a0and the\u00a0PLI Scheme\u00a0continue to strengthen domestic manufacturing, enhance export potential and promote ease of doing business.\u00a0<em>\u201cThese measures aim to create an environment where both domestic and international players can thrive and contribute to a connected global economy,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>He also emphasised the growing areas of collaboration in\u00a0satellite communications, rural connectivity and AI-based applications\u00a0that support governance, agriculture and education \u2014 particularly across developing regions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>In his\u00a0closing remarks, Shri Sanjeev Aggarwal,\u00a0Past Chairman, TEPC, said that\u00a0India\u2019s telecom sector is driving a new wave of transformation built on innovation, design and collaboration.
