Scindia, and\u00a0Secretary (Telecom),\u00a0Dr. Neeraj Mittal.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The MoU was formally signed by\u00a0Mr. Vivek Badrinath, Director General, GSMA, and\u00a0Mr. Atul Sinha, Director General, NCA.\u00a0Mr. John Giusti, Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO), GSMA, and\u00a0Mr. Julian Gorman, Head of APAC, GSMA, were also present on the occasion.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image002LNBX.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image003N6CS.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The MoU establishes a broad framework for cooperation between NCA and GSMA in the areas of\u00a0policy development, research, training, and capacity building\u00a0in the telecommunications sector. The collaboration aims to strengthen India\u2019s\u00a0Digital India\u00a0vision by enhancing institutional capacities, advancing regulatory best practices, and promoting the adoption of next-generation technologies for sustainable digital transformation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Under the partnership, NCA and GSMA will work together to:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Undertake joint\u00a0research, analysis, and training\u00a0initiatives to promote\u00a0digital inclusion\u00a0and\u00a0socio-economic development, focusing on bridging the\u00a0digital divide, fostering\u00a0sustainability, and supporting India\u2019s growth as a\u00a0digital economy.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Collaborate on\u00a0emerging technologies\u00a0such as\u00a05G, 6G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), quantum communications, and\u00a0spectrum management.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Facilitate\u00a0workshops, knowledge-sharing programs, and international exposure\u00a0to build leadership and expertise in\u00a0telecom policy and regulation.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This partnership is expected to further\u00a0enhance India\u2019s participation in global telecom standards and policy forums, while contributing to the country\u2019s goals of\u00a0self-reliance and innovation\u00a0in the telecommunications sector.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><em>Sh. Atul Sinha DG NCA-T in his opening remarks highlighted that \u201cToday we formalize a partnership that is simple in its design yet transformative in its promise: to build the next generation of policy and regulatory capability for India\u2019s digital communications sector\u2014at scale, with speed, and to global standards. This MoU matters, because networks are no longer mere utilities; they are the operating system of our economy\u2014powering inclusion, innovation, public services, and national security.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><em>Speaking on the occasion Sh. Vivek Badrinath, Director General, GSMA, said: &#8220;We&#8217;re delighted to be working with the National Communications Academy and Department of Telecommunications to drive forward this joint commitment to policy, training, and capacity building.
