In addition, the Dharavi\u00a0leather industry employs over 15,000 people.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>These handcrafted products are widely sold across India and also exported to countries such as the USA, Australia, and the UK. The\u00a0revised 5% GST rate on footwear priced at or below \u20b92,500 per pair and on leather, is expected to directly benefit this industry. For instance, a typical pair of Kolhapuri chappals, usually priced between \u20b9800 and \u20b92,000, will\u00a0now become approximately 6-7% cheaper. This reduction will make the craft\u00a0more affordable and competitive\u00a0in markets, providing a\u00a0boost to artisan sales.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><em>Warli Paintings &amp; Folk Art<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Warli paintings and folk art are rooted in the Palghar district\u00a0and surrounding\u00a0tribal areas in the Sahyadri ranges.
