India Inaugurates WAVES Bazaar \u2013 Bharat Pavilion at Asian Contents & Film Market 2025, Showcasing its Creative Economy at Busan International Film Festival\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The\u00a0WAVES Bazaar \u2013 Bharat Pavilion\u00a0was formally inaugurated on 20th<\/sup>\u00a0September 2025\u00a0 at the\u00a0Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) 2025, held alongside the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), in Busan, Republic of Korea.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Pavilion, set up by the\u00a0Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India\u00a0and\u00a0Embassy of India , Seoul\u00a0as part of Waves Bazaar outreach program, is a dedicated space to showcase India\u2019s vibrant media and entertainment sector, foster co-productions, and build international collaborations across film, television, gaming, and emerging creative technologies. The Pavilion will remain open for four days, until 23rd September 2025, facilitating continuous engagements and showcasing opportunities.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of leading international dignitaries and industry leaders including\u00a0Mr Kang Sungkyu, Director,\u00a0Busan Film Commission,\u00a0Ms. Agnieszka Moody, Head of International and Industry Policy,\u00a0British Film Institute (BFI), and\u00a0Mr. Ferdinando Gueli, Trade Commissioner, Seoul,\u00a0Italian Trade Agency.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Celebrated Indian filmmakers such as\u00a0Mr. Arfi Lamba,\u00a0Mr. Pradip Kurbah,\u00a0Ms\u00a0Tannishtha Chatterjee\u00a0and others also joined the event, representing the creative energy of contemporary Indian cinema. From the Government of India, the ceremony was graced by\u00a0Shri Prithul Kumar,\u00a0Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, along with\u00a0Shri Nishi Kant Singh,\u00a0 Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires, Embassy of India, Seoul, and other senior officials, highlighting the Government\u2019s commitment to positioning India as a global content hub.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries emphasized the growing importance of India in the global content economy and the role of\u00a0WAVES Bazaar\u00a0in creating a dynamic bridge between Indian creators and international markets.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Pavilion will serve as a platform for:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
