The\u00a0Har Ghar Tiranga \u2013 Patriotic Film Festival<\/em>\u00a0opened today to an enthusiastic response, marking the beginning of a three-day nationwide cinematic tribute to India\u2019s independence. Running from\u00a0August 11\u201313, 2025, the festival is organized by the\u00a0National Film Development Corporation (NFDC)\u00a0under the aegis of the\u00a0Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The festival is part of the broader\u00a0Har Ghar Tiranga campaign\u00a0initiated by Prime Minister\u00a0Narendra Modi, which seeks to deepen every citizen\u2019s emotional connection with the National Flag and instil a renewed sense of unity and patriotism. Through carefully curated film screenings, the festival aims to remind audiences of India\u2019s journey to freedom, celebrate the sacrifices of countless heroes, and showcase stories that have shaped the nation\u2019s identity.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Minister of Art, Culture & Language, NCT of Delhi,\u00a0Shri Kapil Mishra said that Cinema has the power to immortalise the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and inspire generations. The Har Ghar Tiranga \u2013 Patriotic Film Festival is not just a celebration of cinema, but a reminder of the journey that brought us independence, the minster added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion in Mumbai, Secretary, MIB\u00a0Shri. Sanjay Jaju<\/em>\u00a0said that the Har Ghar Tiranga- the Patriotic Film Festival aims to showcase India\u2019s rich cultural history and heritage through the medium of cinema. Cinema being a visual medium leaves a long lasting impact on the viewers and so, this festival aims to spark the spirit of patriotism amongst all Indians, Shri\u00a0Jaju added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Actress\u00a0Shriya Pilgaonkar<\/em>\u00a0also spoke on the event in Mumbai. She said that she was honored to be part of the initiative. \u201cThese films remind us of the resilience and courage of our people, and it\u2019s important that we continue to share these stories\u201d, she added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
