Themed \u201c\u0916\u093c\u092f\u093e\u0932\u00a0\u0935\u093f\u0930\u093e\u0938\u0924\u00a0\u0915\u093e\u201d,\u00a0the conclave served as a vibrant platform for dialogue, action, and advocacy in the realm of heritage-led tourism.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image001WQ1W.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The conclave convened a distinguished gathering of policymakers, royal dignitaries, diplomats, conservation architects, tourism professionals, food historians, and cultural custodians to deliberate on leveraging India\u2019s rich heritage for economic revitalization, community development, and cultural continuity.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Inaugurating the event, Mr. Rajender Kumar (IAS), Secretary \u2013 Tourism, Civil Aviation, Devasthanam Management &amp; Pilgrimage, Government of Gujarat, outlined Gujarat\u2019s proactive vision for inclusive heritage tourism, stating, \u201cWe are not only restoring monuments but also ensuring direct benefits to local communities through jobs, infrastructure, and cultural pride.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image002EXGC.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Representing the regal legacy of Vadodara, His Highness Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, Maharaja of Baroda, emphasized the importance of relevance in heritage conservation: \u201cHeritage must live on through connection with future generations, not just nostalgia.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image003XXH1.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image0041DQP.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Mr. Mohamed Farouk, Regional Director \u2013 India Tourism Mumbai, highlighted the Ministry of Tourism\u2019s commitment through flagship schemes like Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and PRASHAD, which link destinations via cuisine, folklore, crafts, and festivals.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image005UK8A.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Delivering the theme address, Mr. Rajan Sehgal, Co-Chair \u2013 Tourism Committee, PHDCCI, remarked, \u201cHeritage tourism is about identity, economy, and empowerment. Our aim is to catalyse policy innovation and foster public-private partnerships.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>A ceremonial Saraswati Vandana by students of Maharaja Sayajirao University set the cultural tone, followed by the launch of the PHDCCI-KPMG Heritage Tourism Report, underscoring the role of PPPs in revitalizing heritage assets.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Key Sessions and Highlights:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Vibrant Gujarat Model: Panelists shared community-centric practices, from artisan engagement to adaptive reuse of built heritage.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Shekhawati Legacy: Discussed challenges and incentives for private heritage owners and restoration frameworks.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Culinary Tourism: With Prof. Pushpesh Pant and renowned chefs, the session spotlighted food as a cultural artefact and underutilized tourism asset.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Traditional Gujarati Lunch \u2013 \u2018Bapor nu Bhojan\u2019: Curated by Chef Pritesh Raut, the meal told stories of Gujarat\u2019s culinary heritage.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Case Study \u2013 Champaner-Pavagadh: Presented by Dr. Amita Sinha, emphasized community tourism and UNESCO site repositioning.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Women as Cultural Custodians: Featured HH Radhikaraje Gaekwad and HH Kadambaridevi Jadeja, urging support for women-led tourism ventures.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Architecture &amp;
