Held in Pune, the event attracted more than <strong data-start=\"499\" data-end=\"516\">500 delegates<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"528\" data-end=\"551\">40 industry leaders<\/strong> and representatives from <strong data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"623\">70 national and international institutions<\/strong>.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3374\" data-end=\"3651\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4013\" src=\"https:\/\/theeducationoverview.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/UNESCO-NSDC-Conference-Photo-4-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"877\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The conference placed a sharp focus on driving systemic reforms in the TVET ecosystem\u2014emphasizing industry-integrated training models, capacity-building, public-private partnerships, and expanding digital, green, and gender-inclusive skill frameworks.<\/span><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4014\" src=\"https:\/\/theeducationoverview.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/UNESCO-NSDC-Conference-Photo-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"1124\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">In a high-impact masterclass, <strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"934\">Mr. Friedrich Huebler<\/strong>, Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, shared global best practices on digital transformation in vocational training and the critical role of cross-sector collaboration in shaping future-ready workforces.<\/span><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4015\" src=\"https:\/\/theeducationoverview.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/UNESCO-NSDC-Conference-Photo-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1436\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Delivering the keynote address, <strong data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1176\">Sonam Wangchuk<\/strong>, Founding Director of the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, called for experiential and climate-conscious learning. \u201cAI and the internet can never replace hands-on learning,\u201d he said. \u201cWe need to skill our youth to rebuild this planet and live in harmony.\u201d<\/span><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4016\" src=\"https:\/\/theeducationoverview.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/UNESCO-NSDC-Conference-Photo-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1816\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1458\">Dr. Neelma Gorhe<\/strong>, Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, spoke powerfully on gender equity and workplace safety. \u201cCommittees for the prevention of sexual harassment are essential, but we also need systemic change. Gender equality must be embedded in our values, institutions, and actions,\u201d she noted, citing the principles of the <strong data-start=\"1792\" data-end=\"1815\">Beijing Declaration<\/strong>.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1818\" data-end=\"2157\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Highlighting the role of local government in workforce development, <strong data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"1907\">Mr. Shekhar Singh<\/strong>, Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), emphasized, \u201cMunicipal bodies must transition from administrators to enablers of the skill ecosystem. Industry must work closely with civic agencies to shape impactful training models.\u201d<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2159\" data-end=\"2456\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">In a special video address, <strong data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2205\">Mr. Tim Curtis<\/strong>, Director of UNESCO\u2019s South Asia Regional Office, reinforced the transformative power of vocational training. \u201cIt equips people with not only practical skills, but the knowledge, values, and mindset needed to build a peaceful and sustainable future.\u201d<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2458\" data-end=\"2731\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">UNESCO\u2019s <strong data-start=\"2467\" data-end=\"2487\">Mr. Jian Xi Teng<\/strong> presented findings from the global report <em data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"2586\">Changing the Equation: Securing STEM Futures for Women<\/em>, advocating for increased data transparency, targeted support for women in STEM and TVET, and greater empowerment of gender-sensitive educators.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2733\" data-end=\"3136\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">India\u2019s youthful demographic\u2014over <strong data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"2812\">50% of the population under the age of 25<\/strong>\u2014makes scaling high-impact skilling programs a national imperative.
