Pune, April 13, 2025<\/em> \u2014 In a profound tribute to the visionary leader Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Postgraduate Students Association<\/em> organized an inspiring 18-hour study campaign<\/strong> at the iconic Jaykar Library<\/strong> of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)<\/strong> on the eve of his birth anniversary, Sunday, April 13, 2025. The event was themed around the powerful message: \u201cContinuity in studies is the salute to Ambedkar.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

The campaign witnessed an overwhelming participation of 300 dedicated students<\/strong>, who committed themselves to continuous study from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM<\/strong>\u2014an 18-hour intellectual marathon honoring Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy of scholarship and social justice.<\/span><\/h5>\n

    In his presidential address<\/strong>, Prof. Dr. Suresh Gosavi emphasized the need to harness modern ICT tools to advance rigorous and innovative research. \u201cWe must constantly strive to explore new technological knowledge to foster creativity and relevance in research,\u201d he stated.<\/span><\/h5>\n
    Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parag Kalkar stressed that, \u201cSaluting Dr. Ambedkar is not just about occasional homage, but about sustained dedication to learning. Continuous study and a strong research mindset are the real ways to honor his legacy.\u201d<\/span><\/h5>\n
    Prof. Dr. Vilas Adhav lauded the long-standing efforts of the Association, stating, \u201cFor over 35 years, this organization has been actively promoting study-oriented initiatives on the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Phule and Dr. Ambedkar. Symbols like candles and garlands may be forgotten, but the guiding thoughts of great men must always remain with us.\u201d<\/span><\/h5>\n
    Dr. Vijay Khare presented a thoughtful reflection on the idea of a “great man” as conceptualized by Dr. Ambedkar, urging students to internalize these values.<\/span>
    Dr. Jyoti Bhakere provided key insights into the Preamble of the Indian Constitution<\/strong>, reiterating its importance in the lives of students and citizens alike.<\/span><\/h5>\n
