There is a necessity of Enhancing employability through skill development in higher education: Hani A. Farid<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

One of the noted colleges imparting higher education in Pune, AKI\u2019 S Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Camp Pune recently celebrated its annual prize distribution function with great enthusiasm.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Mr. Hani Ahmed Farid, General Secretary of AKI Trust Mumbai presided over the function and Dr.Hanif Lakdawala, trustee AKI was the esteemed guest.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Hani Farid said that there is a necessity of enhancing employability through skill development in higher education. He stressed to develop new curricula that meet contemporary demands and improve employability.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, Vice Principal introduced the guests and accorded them a warm welcome. Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh and Prof. Moinuddin Khan greeted the guests with floral offerings.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The principal presented the annual report underlining the remarkable feats and achievements of the college during the ongoing academic year. A report based on the socio-economic survey of Poona College students was also unveiled at the hands of the dignitaries on the dais on this occasion.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In his address, trustee Dr.Hanif Lakdawala not only appreciated the individual and collective efforts of Poona College team but also pointed out further tasks to be undertaken. He stressed the need for students\u2019 excellence in multiple disciplines including proficiency in several languages.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Chief Guest Dr. Hani Ahmed Farid and the other dignitaries gave away prizes to as many as 100 students for their brilliant and outstanding performance in various national, state and zonal level sports events and academic competitions. He also assured of every support and cooperation to the college.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Mr. Shaikh Husnuddin alongwith Dr. Fazil Sharif and Qureshi Shaheen compered the program whereas the vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Musharraf Hussain, the vice chairman of college Gymkhana Committee.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Director Physical education department Dr. Aiyaz Shaikh , Physical teachers Mr. Ashad Shaikh, Mr. Imran Qureshi and the entire Gymkhana Committee took strenuous efforts to make the even a grand success. The auditorium was packed to its capacity by hundreds of staff members, jubilant and fervent students, parents and guests.<\/span><\/h4>\n
