{"id":21556,"date":"2026-04-12T01:22:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T19:52:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeducationoverview.in\/?p=21556"},"modified":"2026-04-12T01:22:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T19:52:17","slug":"indian-naval-ship-trikand-arrives-at-mombasa-kenya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theeducationoverview.in\/?p=21556","title":{"rendered":"INDIAN NAVAL SHIP TRIKAND ARRIVES AT MOMBASA, KENYA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"text-center event-heading-background\">\n<h2 id=\"Titleh2\">INDIAN NAVAL SHIP TRIKAND ARRIVES AT MOMBASA, KENYA<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"PrDateTime\" class=\"ReleaseDateSubHeaddateTime text-center pt20\">Posted On: 08 APR 2026 12:30PM by PIB Delhi<\/div>\n<div class=\"pt20\"><\/div>\n<p>INS Trikand, frontline guided missile frigate of the Indian Navy, arrived at Mombasa, Kenya,<strong>\u00a0on 07 Apr 2026, as part of its ongoing deployment in the South West Indian Ocean Region.<\/strong>\u00a0The visit aims to strengthen maritime cooperation and enhance bilateral ties between India and Kenya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The port call coincides with the visit of VAdm Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, to Kenya.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Professional, cultural and social engagements will be progressed during the stay, and essential stores will be handed over to the Kenya Defence Forces. Additionally, the ship\u2019s Commanding Officer will call on senior government functionaries.<\/p>\n<p>On departure from Mombasa, INS Trikand will engage in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with units of the Kenya Navy.
