Health Check-up Camp organised in Arrah, Bihar<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Janaushadhi Saptah 2026, an outreach initiative to create awareness about affordable and quality generic medicines, commenced today with Health Check-Up camps across the country, marking the beginning of a week-long celebrations leading up to\u00a0\u00a08th\u00a0Janaushadhi Diwas on 7th March. As part of the Saptah, health check-up camps are being organized by Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau (PMBI), Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers from\u00a01st to 5th March, 2026\u00a0at more than\u00a0250 locations nationwide.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In line with this year\u2019s theme,\u00a0\u201c\u091c\u0928\u00a0\u0914\u0937\u0927\u093f\u00a0\u0938\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0940\u00a0\u092d\u0940,\u00a0\u092d\u0930\u094b\u0938\u0947\u092e\u0902\u0926\u00a0\u092d\u0940,\u00a0\u0938\u0947\u0939\u0924\u00a0\u0915\u0940\u00a0\u092c\u093e\u0924,\u00a0\u092c\u091a\u0924\u00a0\u0915\u0947\u00a0\u0938\u093e\u0925,\u201d\u00a0along with providing on-site diagnostic services at the camps, general public are being engaged about affordable and quality generic medicines available at Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMBJAK) set up under Pradhan Mantri Bharitiya JanAushadhi Pariyojana.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Health Check-up Camp organised in Ludhiana, Punjab<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On Day 1,\u00a0health camps\u00a0were conducted at\u00a0about 50 locations across the country, including\u00a0Subhash Nagar and Ashok Vihar in Delhi, Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, Chandrapura in Jharkhand, Ludhiana in Punjab, Hubballi-Dharwad and Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka, Pune in Maharashtra, Chennai and Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Jaipur, Dehradun and Bulandshahr, among others.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Health Camp organised in Sitamadhi, Bihar<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Large number of general public participated in the health camps enthusiastically with an average of 100 per camp and received\u00a0free medical consultation\u00a0and\u00a0medicines, Special focus was given to women and senior citizens, who formed a substantial part of participants.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Health Camp organised in Siddakatte, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The camps provided apart from general health check up, a wide range of services including\u00a0free blood tests, Blood Pressure and\u00a0 thyroid tests. Doctor consultations covered general medicine, infections, chronic conditions, paediatric care and specialist services such as nephrology and diabetology in several locations.\u00a0Free distribution of\u00a0Janaushadhi medicines\u00a0was carried out extensively and additional services like\u00a0physiotherapy consultation,\u00a0eye check-ups\u00a0and child health initiatives were also organized at several centres.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Camps witnessed active participation from several dignitaries including Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assemblies, Senior Medical professionals and local representatives, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged public to adapt quality generic medicines under PMBJP.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The ongoing efforts under PMBJP are playing a vital role in strengthening India\u2019s healthcare system by ensuring access to quality medicines at affordable prices for everyone.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Health Check-up Camp organised in Ashok Vihar, Delhi<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), more than\u00a018,000\u00a0Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) are operating across the country. The Government has further set an ambitious target of expanding this network to\u00a025,000 Kendras by 31st March 2027, strengthening last-mile access to affordable and quality medicines.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The celebrations will continue through March 7th with various outreach programs designed to engage healthcare professionals and the general public. Public are encouraged to use the “Jan Aushadhi Sugam” mobile application to locate their nearest Kendra and access affordable, quality medicines.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
