The programme seeks to reclaim valuable urban land for community and infrastructure development, thereby advancing India\u2019s vision of achieving \u201cLakshya Zero Dumpsites\u201d by September 2026.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Currently, 1,428 sites are undergoing remediation, and about 80% of the legacy waste is concentrated in 214 sites across 202 ULBs.
