Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST in presence of Shri Pawan Gupta, DDG (Admin.) TEC, Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor SRMIST and Dr. Revathi Venkataraman, Professor and Chairperson (School of Computing), SRMIST at SRMIST Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The partnership creates a formal framework for TEC to work closely with SRMIST on next-generation telecom and standardisation activities.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Key Areas of Collaboration:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>6G: Collaborative research on AI-driven resource allocation, intelligent scheduling, low-latency coding, and computation-aware networking. Exploration of 6G architecture and enabling technologies.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Digital Twin: Joint development of frameworks for network behavior modeling and optimization.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Quantum Communication: Studies on quantum communication protocols, quantum cryptography, and quantum-assisted 6G architectures.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Edge AI &amp; Distributed Intelligence: Development of real-time analytics, automation, and predictive maintenance solutions.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>AI &amp; Generative Models:\u00a0Research in LLMs, Generative AI, federated learning, and adaptive neural architectures for network automation.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Cyber Security:\u00a0Collaborative research on secure and resilient communication networks.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>RF, Microwave &amp; Terahertz:\u00a0Joint research in advanced wireless communication technologies.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>mmWave &amp; Cognitive Radio:\u00a0Collaborative studies on beamforming and spectrum-efficient communication.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Optical Communications:\u00a0Collaborative research in optical communications and optical wireless communication systems.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs):\u00a0Standardization and research on satellite-terrestrial integration and HAPS.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Open RAN &amp; Network Disaggregation:\u00a0Studies on open interfaces, orchestration, and interoperability.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>This partnership aims to accelerate indigenous R&amp;D and increase India\u2019s influence in global standardisation processes by strengthening India\u2019s contributions to global standardisation bodies such as ITU and 3GPP.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>This collaboration will further the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision by strengthening indigenous research, design and manufacturing in telecom &#8211; developing India-specific standards, test frameworks and home-grown solutions that bolster national self-reliance, secure critical communications infrastructure and reduce dependence on imports.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>About TEC<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) is the technical arm of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India.
