India\u2019s approach towards economic growth and social progress resonates with this declaration.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>India\u2019s development story is one of transformation at scale. In the last 10 years, through\u00a0persistent reforms,\u00a0convergence of welfare programmes, and\u00a0digital innovation,\u00a0approximately 250 million Indians have been lifted out of multidimensional poverty.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Excellencies,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>India\u2019s journey is guided by the profound philosophy of\u00a0<em>Antyodaya<\/em>, meaning, empowering the very last person in the line. Millions of women have been mobilised into\u00a0Self Help Groups. Credit disbursements have supplemented the strength of these women-led local institutions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>India\u2019s\u00a0social security coverage has increased\u00a0from\u00a019% in 2015 to 64.3% in 2025. Recognizing our efforts, the International Social Security Association has conferred India with the\u00a0\u201cISSA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Social Security\u201d\u00a0this year.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Central to our efforts is the focus on seamless delivery of these programmes. Through a network of\u00a0bank accounts, mobile internet ownership and unique citizen IDs,\u00a0we have ensured\u00a0efficient last mile delivery\u00a0through\u00a0Direct Benefit Transfer.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Excellencies,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The\u00a0Political Declaration\u00a0we are adopting in this summit resonates with the global priorities, especially recognition of\u00a0women-led development, traditional medicine systems, digital public infrastructure, and cooperatives,\u00a0as engines for inclusive growth.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image002ASRH.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Our\u00a0economic growth and social development pathways are aligned with the sustainable development goals\u00a0and our commitments regarding\u00a0climate change. We remain steadfast on\u00a0the 17 Sustainable Development Goals\u00a0agenda of the UN.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>We take\u00a0strong objection\u00a0to certain unjustified references made by President of Pakistan yesterday on India in its remarks.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>This is an\u00a0abuse of an international\u00a0forum to distract the world from focusing on social development by peddling disinformation against India. We wish to set the record straight.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>On the Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan has undermined its spirit through\u00a0sustained hostility and cross-border terrorism. It has also repeatedly misused the Treaty mechanisms to obstruct India\u2019s legitimate projects.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>As regards the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,\u00a0Pakistan has no locus standi to comment on India\u2019s internal affairs. This is particularly so when it indulges in acts of cross-border terrorism against the citizens of India.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Pakistan would do well to introspect and address its own serious challenges related to development which has made it dependent on hand-outs by international community.
