Driving Change through Cleanliness and Efficiency: Department of Posts Concludes Implementation Phase of Special Campaign 5.0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The\u00a0Department of Posts,\u00a0under the\u00a0Ministry of Communications, successfully concluded theImplementation Phase of the\u00a0Special Campaign 5.0\u00a0with energy, enthusiasm and dedication from all postal circles across the country. Conducted from 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0October to 31st<\/sup>October 2025, the Campaign reaffirmed the Department\u2019s steadfast commitment to the principles of cleanliness, efficiency, and citizen-centric service delivery.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Building upon the achievements of earlier editions,\u00a0Special Campaign 5.0\u00a0focused on sustained cleanliness, efficient record management, timely disposal of pending references, and optimum utilization of space.Through this approach, the Department has not only achieved thetargets set for Special Campaign 5.0 but also promoted\u00a0Swachhata\u00a0as a value instilled in daily routines and operational processes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Key Highlights and Achievements\u00a0of this year’sSpecial Campaign 5.0 are:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • 1,00,000\u00a0public grievances and\u00a01,000\u00a0CPGRAMS appeals disposed of.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 17,352\u00a0old files and e-files\u00a0 weeded out.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • \u20b957.77\u00a0lakh revenue earned from sale of scrap and waste materials.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • 23,287 sq. ft.\u00a0of office space freed across the postal network.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cleanliness drives conducted across\u00a01.30 lakh\u00a0campaign sites nationwide, adopting a saturation approach to Swachhata.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Best Practices and Initiatives<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    • Dak Chaupal:\u00a0Grassroots outreach initiatives to promote citizen-centric services such as financial inclusion, DBT, insuranceand e-commerce.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • SwachhataMessaging through Wall Art:\u00a0Creative wall paintings blending local art and culture to spread the messages of cleanliness and community participation.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Best out of Waste:\u00a0Workshops on e-waste recycling and innovative waste management.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Ease of Complaint Registration:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Reform 1:\u00a0Introduction of QR codes in post offices for direct online complaint registration.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Reform 2:\u00a0Monitoring of 10 grievances each by \u00a0senior officers every week \u00a0to ensure personal engagement and faster resolution.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Reform 3:\u00a0Implementation of a customer-interactive complaint resolutionsystem requiring the customer\u2019s consent for complaint closure.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Reform 4:Redefining SLAs\u2014complaints are now categorized into 129 types with most of the \u00a0resolution timelines ranging from 1 to 7 days.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Workshops Conducted:<\/strong><\/span>\n

      • Record Management\u00a0\u2013 with National Archives of India.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Cyber Hygiene\u00a0\u2013 under National Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Inauguration of \u201cThalirnilam\u201d\u2013Cr\u00e8che Facility:<\/strong><\/span>\n

          • A newly established Cr\u00e8che Facility has been inaugurated at the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Tamil Nadu Circlein Chennai.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
          • It provides a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment for children of working parents and reflects the Department\u2019s strong commitment to employee welfare and work-life balance.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            The\u00a0Department of Postsreiterates its unwavering commitment to imbue the spirit of\u00a0Swachhata\u00a0into every aspect of its functioning. Going beyond the campaign period, the Department aims to sustain the momentum by fostering a culture of cleanliness, orderliness, and efficiency across its vast postal network.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
