Employees\u2019 Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) celebrated its\u00a073rd Foundation Day\u00a0today at\u00a0Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the distinguished presence of\u00a0Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Youth affairs and Sports Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, along with senior officials and officers from across the country.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On this occasion, the\u00a0Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS)\u00a0EPFO\u2019s training and capacity-building institution was honoured with\u00a0two Bhavishya Nidhi Awards 2025\u00a0for:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Special Initiative \u2013 Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence (RGDE)<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Launched on\u00a0Good Governance Day, 2023, the\u00a0RGDE\u00a0series embodies PDUNASS\u2019s commitment to institutional learning and thought leadership. The platform brings together eminent figures from governance, policy, administration, art, and culture to share insights on ethical and effective public service.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Distinguished speakers have included\u00a0Shri Kailash Satyarthi,\u00a0Dr. Devi Shetty,\u00a0Shri Sanjeev Sanyal,\u00a0Shri Adil Hussain, and\u00a0Shri Prabhat Kumar. Over time, RGDE has evolved into a vibrant movement of ideas, inspiring reforms in training design, ethics, and governance practices within EPFO.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The award was jointly received by\u00a0Shri Kumar Rohit, Director, PDUNASS, and\u00a0Shri Uttam Prakash, RPFC-I, Moderator of the RGDE Series since its inception.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Best Achievement in Capacity Building<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    PDUNASS was recognised for its outstanding efforts in strengthening the competencies of EPFO\u2019s workforce. During 2024\u201325, the Academy trained\u00a0155 newly recruited Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs)\u00a0across three batches, focusing on functional excellence and behavioural development.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Two innovative learning modules \u2014\u00a0\u201cDesign Thinking\u201d\u00a0(in collaboration with NID Ahmedabad) and\u00a0\u201cCompassion in Governance\u201d\u00a0(with the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion) \u2014 were introduced to nurture creativity, empathy, and innovation among officer trainees.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The Academy also launched the\u00a0\u201cBook Review\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cDelicious Initiatives\u201d\u00a0programmes to foster teamwork, intellectual curiosity, and a culture of continuous learning.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The initiative was developed by\u00a0Shri Vijay Kumar,\u00a0Shri Ankur Gupta,\u00a0Shri Sanjay Kumar Rai,\u00a0Shri Sharique Tanwir, and\u00a0Shri Ram Anand, all\u00a0RPFC-I (PDUNASS), and the award was jointly received by\u00a0Shri Kumar Rohit, Director, PDUNASS, and\u00a0Shri Ankur P. Gupta, RPFC-I.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Launch of Coffee Table Book and Exhibition<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The Union Minister,\u00a0Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, also launched a\u00a0Coffee Table Book titled \u201cReimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence\u201d, chronicling the journey and impact of the RGDE series.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Following the ceremony, the Minister inaugurated the\u00a0EPFO Exhibition, where PDUNASS showcased key initiatives and publications, including the\u00a0RGDE Booklet<\/em>,\u00a0APFC (DR) 2024 Induction Training Booklet<\/em>,\u00a0Delicious Initiatives Booklet<\/em>,\u00a0Book Review Booklet<\/em>,\u00a0PFRE Booklet<\/em>,\u00a0Rashtriya Karmayogi \u2013 Jan Seva Achievements<\/em>, and booklets from PDUNASS Campuses at\u00a0Faridabad, Chennai, Ujjain, Kolkata, and Shillong.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Commitment to Service Excellence<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from EPFO officers and staff, reaffirming their shared commitment to\u00a0ethical, people-centric, and efficient governance. Through these transformative initiatives,\u00a0PDUNASS\u00a0continues to strengthen EPFO\u2019s role as a\u00a0national thought leader in social security administration and public governance.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
