Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar successfully organized an\u00a0Awareness Workshop on Capacity Building and Skill Development in Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G, and Emerging Technologies, aimed at equipping students particularly from minority communities with future-ready skills.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image001791M.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The workshop was graced by\u00a0Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, as the\u00a0Chief Guest, and\u00a0Shri Sravan Kumar Jatavath, Deputy Secretary, as the\u00a0Guest of Honour. The event was presided over by\u00a0Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, Director, NIT Jalandhar, and witnessed the participation of more than 300 students, faculty members, and domain experts from IITs and other premier institutions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kumar, in his keynote address, underlined the need for the education system to evolve in tune with technological advancements. He stressed that institutions must drive\u00a0lifelong learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship, aligned with the vision of\u00a0Viksit Bharat,\u00a0AI Mission, and\u00a0Digital India. He stated that the Ministry\u2019s focus now extends beyond traditional education to include\u00a0technology, innovation, and employability\u00a0as key pillars of inclusive development. He cited\u00a0PMJVK\u00a0as an example of the Ministry\u2019s commitment to empowering minority communities through education and capacity building.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image002ML79.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Dr. Kumar also lauded NIT Jalandhar\u2019s initiatives, describing its model as\u00a0replicable nationwide\u00a0for integrating technology with social inclusion and fostering innovation-led growth.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image0039QGJ.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Addressing the gathering,\u00a0Smt. Vimmy Bhullar, Director, Social Justice &amp; Minorities, Government of Punjab, appreciated the Ministry\u2019s support and highlighted the importance of emerging technologies in improving employability among minority youth.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The workshop featured\u00a0technical sessions on AI, 5G, and Cybersecurity, including expert lectures, live demonstrations, and panel discussions on skill development and future employment trends.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image0046LXZ.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Building on the success of the event, NIT Jalandhar announced\u00a0free certification programmes\u00a0in\u00a0Cybersecurity, 5G Technologies, and Artificial Intelligence\u00a0for minority students.
